About Yvette Ansel

Yvette Ansel began her legal career in New York City in 1987 in the litigation department of one of the nation’s premier law firms, Cravath, Swaine & Moore. She later practiced in Minneapolis furthering her litigation skills with respect to her clients’ most challenging legal issues.

Ms. Ansel’s practice in domestic relations includes, but is not limited to, dissolution with and without children, post decree modification, paternity actions, orders of protection, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, same sex partnerships, and appeals. She recently won an Arizona State Supreme Court argument clarifying the procedure for filing an appeal in an Arizona family law matter. See Oral Argument below. She is also well versed in the area of civil litigation, which enhances her skills in family law. She works tirelessly for the benefit of her clients in order to achieve the best possible results in a cost efficient manner.

Ms. Ansel received her B.A. in Political Science from Barnard College, Columbia University, where she graduated cum laude with departmental honors. She received her Juris Doctorate from the Cardozo School of Law where she was elected to the Moot Court Board. She is a member of the Maricopa County Bar Association, the State Bar of Arizona with section membership in the family law and trial practice section areas, the Scottsdale Bar, the Arizona Women Lawyers Association, as well as the Arizona Chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
