About William Mills
William Mills spent his childhood in Ringgold, Georgia. After leaving his freshman year at Ringgold High School, he went on to graduate from Mainland Senior in Daytona Beach, Florida. He attended the University of Central Florida for undergrad and obtained two degrees. He worked as a Civilian Analyst with the Department of Defense in Simulation and Training for many years. In 2008, William graduated Barry University School of Law with a Juris Doctorate degree. He then returned home to work for the Lookout Mountain Public Defender’s Office in Dade, Chattooga, Walker and Catoosa counties. While working for the Public Defender’s office, he had around 900 criminal cases and tried many of those before a jury and many more in front of a judge. These cases include: probation revocations, DUI, Burglary, aggravated assault, rape, misdemeanors, and felonies. He appeared in the Georgia Court of Appeals, and Georgia Supreme Court winning favorable outcomes for his clients. While still actively engaged in criminal defense, William now represents clients in divorce, child custody, civil litigation, employee/employer disputes, property claims, probate matters and many other areas of law. He has most recently started his own professional corporation and shares office space with long-time local practitioner Marshall M. Bandy Jr.
