About Westley Villanueva

Wes Villanueva, Esq. is a Co-founder of WUV Law Firm. As a native Nevadan, Wes has lived in Southern and Northern Nevada and understands “The Silver State” is more than just a tourist place – it’s home to a diverse many. Growing up in the East Side of Las Vegas and an Eldorado graduate, Wes is familiar with Nevada’s large Latino population in the state where his family is still proud homeowners in the same neighborhood. Spending five years in the Reno and Carson area to attend the University of Nevada – Reno, Wes is acquainted with the small town feel Northern Nevada’s little cities have to offer. From Fallon to Elko, he understand the special pride they take in their culture and history. Living most of his life in Las Vegas, Wes knows the needs of the city from its economic diversification as well as the critical role expansion and growth play for the citizens of Las Vegas, especially when it comes to law and its history in Nevada. His decision to attend law school locally as one of the first classes at the William S. Boyd School of Law stemmed from his desire to support his city and its continued growth as a newly formed law school. From attending classes housed in the old Paradise Elementary School across from UNLV to witnessing its expansion as a diverse, top 100 institution, law in Nevada truly embodies the Home Means Nevada spirit in which Wes is proud to be a part of its history and evolution.

​Wes’ career and legal experience includes practicing in all courts in the Nevada Court System from the First Judicial District Court to the Argenta Township Justice Court and down to Boulder City Justice Court and everywhere in between. Wes has spent a significant part of his career representing credit card companies, big banks, servicers of student loans, and a myriad of creditors and debt buyers. Throughout his experiences, a glaring gap became apparent: Nevada residents continuously face challenges in finding affordable and accessible representation to assist with their debt issues. Because of these challenges and continuous shifting economy, Wes is committed to assisting anyone who finds themselves struggling to handle the debt and credit cycle that often feels hopeless and endless. As an experienced, legal professional in the collection world, Wes is dedicated to bridging the gap between creditors and his clients to find a reasonable solution to repayment of outstanding debts that will cost clients less money in the long run and also help them back on the path to achieving their financial goals. Having filed over 250,000 lawsuits over a period of 18 years in the collection industry, Wes, without exception, understands how to navigate the debt collection industry and is determined to put that knowledge and experience to work for his clients.
