Mr. Bush was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1999. He is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Illinois State, Whiteside County (Vice President, 2015-16; President, 2016-17), and Lee County bar associations. Mr. Bush has served on the Illinois State Bar Association’s Committee on Legal Technology since 2002 (Chair, 2009-10; Secretary, 2017-19; Vice-Chair, 2019-20; Chair, 2020-21). He has been a speaker at numerous continuing legal education seminars on legal technology topics.

In June 2011, Mr. Bush was appointed to the Illinois Supreme Court’s Special Committee on E-Business. In November 2014, he was one of two private practicing attorneys appointed to the Illinois Supreme Court’s e-Business Policy Advisory Board and continues to serve on the board after his reappointment in 2022. In 2019, he was the only private practicing attorney appointed to the Illinois Supreme Court’s Website Task Force. In 2021, he was one of two practicing attorneys appointed to the 14-member Illinois Supreme Court Remote Proceedings Task Force. In 2023, he was one of three practicing attorneys appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court’s Comission on Access to Justice Remote Proceedings Committee.

Education
Mr. Bush earned his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota, in 1999, where he graduated cum laude. He earned his undergraduate degree from Central College, Pella, Iowa, in 1995, where he graduated magna cum laude.
