About Tommy Greer
Thomas E. Greer (Tommy) is a partner at Greer Mckown, LLC. After graduating from West Georgia College, Tommy attended the University Of Georgia School Of Law and graduated with honors. Tommy began the practice of law in 1975 and has become a proven and experienced attorney, respected by his peers and continuously involved in the community.
Tommy has tried 150-200 jury trials throughout Georgia, argued before the U.S. Supreme Court and made more than 60 appearances in Federal Appellate Courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Georgia Supreme Court. Tommy served as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Georgia for seven years handling child abuse and neglect case. After that, he served as Carroll County Juvenile Court Judge for 12 years.
Tommy has evaluated more than 2,000 personal injury cases for settlement or trial and has handled more than 1,500 Family Law cases. He completed his mediation training at Collaborative Disputes Resolution Associates, an internationally recognized training center for mediation, in the year 2,000 and completed his arbitration training at Henning Mediation in Atlanta. He has participated as a mediator or arbitrator in more than 1,500 cases. He is a registered mediator and arbitrator in the State of Georgia and mediates/arbitrates in the areas of personal injury (including automobile, premises liability and coverage issues), medical malpractice, legal malpractice, products liability, family law, estate matters, commercial litigation, workplace disputes and bank work-out cases. He is also frequently appointed by the Courts to serve as Arbitrator or Special Master to facilitate the resolution of civil disputes.
