About Thomas Rockwell

Thomas has honed his litigation practice by spending his career defending complex cases involving medical malpractice, product liability, medical device, and insurance defense claims. He serves as national counsel in long-term care cases for a national insurance company and is often retained to handle complex and high-exposure medical malpractice and pharmaceutical cases throughout the country. Additionally, he regularly provides direct representation of nursing homes, hospitals, physicians, and nurses. He has a long record of successful resolution of complex cases, especially in nursing home defense and product liability.

In addition to his litigation practice, Thomas develops risk management programs and procedures for national healthcare providers and insurers. He also works directly with insurers to provide underwriting analysis.

Thomas is also a nationally sought-after speaker on various topics affecting the defense of medical providers. Additionally, he has authored numerous articles on medical malpractice defense, and contributed to the book “Nursing Home Litigation: Pretrial Practice and Trials”.

A graduate of the International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy, Thomas is listed as a Lawyer of Distinction, Best Attorney, and Preeminent Lawyer and is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell.

Thomas is active in all aspects of the community. He is a board member of The American Cancer Society. He gives both his time and resources to the Volunteer Lawyers Program and to his church. He is a graduate of Leadership Mobile and has been selected as a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Leadership Class. Thomas is married with two children.
