About Suzanne Hunsinger

Suzanne Hunsinger is a licensed California attorney with over 30 years experience practicing family law in San Jose and throughout the Bay Area and northern California. As the founder and principal attorney of the Law Office of Suzanne Hunsinger, Ms. Hunsinger concentrates her practice on drafting Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs) as a necessary component to the division of certain community property assets in a divorce. Ms. Hunsinger’s clients are individuals seeking advice and representation in a divorce as well as other family law attorneys who understand the need for expertise in the drafting of QDROs and recognize Ms. Hunsinger’s skill and experience in this area.

Ms. Hunsinger strives to be approachable and accessible to her clients, making the process as easy as possible. Ms. Hunsinger has served as a volunteer in court-settlement conferences, helping parties seek resolution on general family law issues such as child custody, child support and spousal maintenance. She also serves as a neutral in the vast majority of her cases, with the parties splitting the cost between them.

Suzanne Hunsinger graduated magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh in 1976 before earning her Juris Doctor law degree from the Hastings College of Law at the University of California in 1980. She is a member of the California State Bar and also a member of QDRONES, the national educational society of lawyers, actuarial consultants, and other QDRO professionals. Ms. Hunsinger has testified in court as an expert witness on QDROs and related issues.
