About Susan Paletz

I am a compassionate and knowledgeable family law attorney and mediator. For the past two decades, I led the Paletz Law Firm and practiced Domestic Relations Law and frequently was appointed to act as a Parenting Coordinator and a Guardian Ad Litem. I gained training to become a professional mediator and since then, I have mediated hundreds of cases.

In 2018, I decided to focus my efforts entirely on mediation. Taking my experience “on the road,” I serve clients throughout Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne counties. This career pivot provides an exclusive focus on constructively dissolving marriages in humane and dignified ways.

As a mediator, I am neutral and non-judgmental. I emphasize that the goal is for the parties to reach a resolution that enables them to move forward without the emotional stress and expense of a trial. I provide expert mediation services to resolve issues in family law cases.

A celebrated attorney and magna cum laude graduate of Wayne State University Law School, Ms. Paletz has presented family law seminars throughout North America, spoken at the S.M.I.L.E. program created by the Oakland County Circuit Court, and written articles for publications of the Oakland County Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan.
