About Steven Peloquin

Steve grew up in Hibbing, MN. After high school, he attended Harvard College and then went on to get his JD from the Boston University School of Law.

Steve has been in private practice since 1983. He has handled a variety of matters involving family law, criminal and civil litigation, personal injury and no-fault litigation, construction, real estate, and collection law. He also advises small businesses and handles business-related litigation and transactional matters. He has tried boundary line disputes, partnership dissolutions, and construction disputes to conclusion. He also advises towns and cities concerning municipal issues and he is the city attorney for the towns of Dent and Vergas, Minnesota.

Steve is a current member of the Seventh District, Ninth District, Otter Tail County, Hubbard County, and Minnesota State Bar Associations. He is on the Outstate Practice Council, and was formerly its Chair. He was a member of the Lawyers Board of Professional Responsibility Seventh District Ethics Committee serving as an investigator from 2003 to 2006, and as a Chair from 2006 to 2012.

Steve has served as a member of the Perham School Board, the Perham Library Board, and the Board of Productive Alternatives, Inc. He is a member of the Perham Rotary club, the Park Rapids Chamber of Commerce, and serves on the board of the Park Rapids Community Development Corporation.

Steve and his wife, Kay who teaches English as a second language in the Menahga school system, live in Park Rapids.
