About Steven Leibel
In 1988, Attorney Steven Leibel began representing individuals in serious personal injury, medical malpractice, and wrongful death cases.
Attorney Steven Leibel’s successes include recovering extensive damages for the death of a high school student whose pneumonia was misdiagnosed, receiving a record recovery in a case involving a neurosurgeon who performed unnecessary back surgery which debilitated a client, resolving the death of an unborn infant due to medical malpractice, receiving extensive damages for the family of an elderly gentleman who died in an assisted living facility due to negligence, and resolving a tractor-trailer accident which caused traumatic brain injury to a young adult.
Attorney Steven Leibel also received a record verdict in a North Georgia county for the death of a grandmother due to the negligence of the DOT, and resolved a million dollar settlement for a motorcycle crash where his client lost his leg.
Mr. Leibel has also established multiple pediatric trust funds from settlements of pediatric brain injury cases for children, and has filed suit and settled several tractor trailer cases.
Mr. Leibel and his firm often call upon experts in traffic reconstruction, medicine, and brain imaging to help reconstruct and assist jurors in complicated cases.
Mr. Leibel is admitted to both the Georgia and District of Columbia Bar. He has served on the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia.
An active member in the community, Mr. Leibel has served as a Municipal Court Judge. He is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the Atlanta Lawyers Club, The Forsyth County Bar Association, and The Enotah Circuit Bar Association. In addition, Mr. Leibel is a graduate of both Leadership Sandy Springs and Leadership Lumpkin County, and has served as a Commission Member of The Brain & Spinal Injury Trust Fund for the State of Georgia.
He has worked as the Vice Chair The Foothills Community Bank, and been involved on the board of Legacy Link, an organization that assists senior citizens in receiving adequate care and access to services.
Mr. Leibel also writes expert columns for various magazines and is a certified mediator.
He has lectured at the State Bar Association Annual Update Seminar, and is a member of the University of North Georgia Business Advisory Council where he has served as Chairman. He has taught at the Emory University School of Law Trial Techniques program , and has previously taught Leadership at North Georgia College and State University.
Mr. Leibel graduated from the renowned Bronx High School of Science with Merit in 1973. He received his undergraduate degree summa cum laude from Queens College of the City University of New York in 1977. He then completed Emory Law School, where he was elected President of the Emory International Law Society.

n 1986, Mr. Leibel graduated first in his class from the North Central Police Academy at West Georgia College. He has served as legal advisor to many police chiefs and sheriffs, and is presently counsel to the Sheriff of Forsyth county.
Mr. Leibel maintains his certification as a law enforcement officer.
