About Sherry Ellis

Sherry F. Ellis has been interested in helping improve other people’s lives since her early days as Director of the Adolescent Chemical Dependency Unit at a local Residential Psychiatric Facility. After practicing in the mental health field, Ms. Ellis saw the barriers that people in need encountered in the legal process and decided that she could make an even bigger difference by combining her experience with a degree in law.

After 5 years as an Assistant State Attorney, Sherry Ellis felt experienced enough in the courtroom to take the next step and begin a private law practice. She decided to focus on bankruptcy law because her education and experience in both the mental health field and the legal profession seemed to be a perfect fit with the needs of people facing the stress of growing debt and the legal complexities of bankruptcy.

Ms. Ellis is dedicated to helping people in Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte Counties successfully navigate the bankruptcy process. Her goal is to make sure all of her clients obtain peace of mind and hope for the future by relieving their debt through the bankruptcy process.
