About Scott Kamin

Since 1995, I have been helping victims of police brutality and other civil rights violations pursue justice. I possess sophisticated knowledge of Illinois codes and laws, including proper police and judicial procedures. I leverage this knowledge to create strong cases for my clients’ pain, suffering and attack against their freedom.Respected for his innovative strategies, Mr. Kamin practices criminal law both at the trial and appellate levels. He tries cases at 2650 S. California and the Dirksen Federal Building; he appeals cases before the Seventh Circuit and the Illinois Appellate Courts. In addition to helping people accused of crimes, Mr. Kamin handles cases involving police brutality and wrongful conviction.

Coexisting with his private practice are Mr. Kamin’s pro bono activities. He serves on the Board of Directors of First Defense Legal Aid (FDLA), the Young Professional’s Board of the Coordinated Advice and Referral Program for Legal Services (CARPLS), the Seventh Circuit Panel of Appointed Attorneys, and the Board of Directors of Comite Exigimos Justicia.
My criminal defense background helps me provide comprehensive support at every level, and I provide defense strategies tailored to your goals. If you have already been convicted, I can represent you at the state and federal appellate levels. My goal as your lawyer is to protect your rights and help you seek a favorable outcome to your case.
