About Ronald Welsh

Ron Welsh has maintained an active trial practice since 1975, handling more than 1,000 cases. He has over 100 trials, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings to his credit, with more than 75 jury verdicts. In the process, he has learned that there is no substitute for preparation.

Ron has extensive experience in a broad range of civil litigation involving millions and in some cases billions of dollars. He has represented clients from the securities, oil and gas, chemical pipeline, manufacturing, petrochemical, banking, health care, medical, appraisal, real estate, investment advisory, product development, and insurance fields. His experience includes bet-the-company, complex commercial, financial and securities cases as well as energy cases, product liability matters, mass tort cases, eminent domain and condemnation, professional malpractice claims, toxic tort and environmental matters, property damage claims, tax matters, False Claims Act suits, torts, contracts, RICO, intellectual property disputes, personal injury cases, and will contests.

Ron received his Bachelor of Science at Northwestern University in 1972, where he was a Clarion DeWitt Hardy Scholar, President of the Debate Society, and received the Cumnock Award and the Florsheim Award in Forensics. He is an honor graduate of the University of Texas, School of Law, where he served on the Texas Law Review Editorial Board and was a member of Order of the Coif, Board of Advocates, and Phi Delta Phi Honorary Legal Society.
