About Robert Messey
A licensed physician and attorney, Robert “Bob” Messey has invaluable experience in both law and medicine. As a surgeon, Bob performed general surgical procedures with a special interest in trauma, plastic and reconstructive surgery for over a decade. Graduating first in his class at Quinnipiac University School of Law, he now represents patients harmed by medical malpractice, and clients who have been seriously injured in all types of personal injury matters.
Bob has extensive expertise evaluating and preparing all types of medical malpractice actions, including obstetric and birth injury, emergency room treatment, and missed diagnosis of cancer cases. He applies his unique knowledge of law and medicine representing clients in workers’ compensation cases as well. Bob is highly regarded and frequently called upon by other attorneys for his ability to carefully analyze complicated medical-legal situations and explain how patient harm has occurred. He is an Adjunct Professor at Quinnipiac University School of Law where he teaches courses in Law & Medicine and he has lectured extensively to physicians, other health care providers and attorneys on medical malpractice issues and medical-legal topics.
