About Richard Schiro

Upon graduating from law school, Dick practiced with a federal agency in Arkansas for two years. He then returned to his hometown, Philadelphia, and was in private practice there for several years. In the late 1970’s he relocated to Dallas to join the faculty at Southern Methodist University Law School where he taught various commercial law courses. Dick served for several years as a member of the trustee panel for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Northern District of Texas. And, for the last few years, he has served as a trustee for trusts which distribute funds to claimants who have suffered asbestos-related personal injury or property damage.

Dick graduated from Trinity College (CT) and from the University of Chicago Law School. Between college and law school he spent a year in India on a Fulbright scholarship and has remained an avid traveler.

Dick is licensed to practice in Texas, Arkansas, and Pennsylvania.
