About Richard Rabbin

Rick Rabbin graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a B.A. degree in 1970, and the Pepperdine School of Law with a J.D. degree in 1973.
He has been certified to practice law in California since 1974 and has had private practices in Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Ventura. Mr. Rabbin has also worked for the Santa Barbara City Attorney’s Office and as a prosecutor for the Kings County District Attorney’s Office.

Mr. Rabbin also established the Portland Mediation Center, in Portland, Oregon, where he created legislation that subsequently resulted in a Governor’s Task Force on Family Law. This Task Force wrote and recommended legislative changes to Oregon’s divorce laws which were ultimately adopted by the State legislature.

Mr. Rabbin’s experience includes litigating cases as an attorney, sitting as a Court appointed arbitrator, sitting as a volunteer Judge Pro Tem, mediating family law disputes, and consulting with individuals regarding their personal relationship difficulties.
