About Richard Maples Jr.
A. Richard Maples Jr. graduated from Spring Hill College in 1969 with a B.S. degree in Political Science and a Commission in the U.S. Army. Mr. Maples is a 1972 graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law where he was a student Research & Writing instructor, a member of the Bench & Bar Legal Honor Society, Student Works Editor of the Alabama Law Review, and a Hepburn Scholarship recepient. In private practice since his admission to the Bar in 1972, Mr. Maples is senior member of the firm, and his practice includes both office and litigation matters with concentrations in bankruptcy, real estate and commercial law. Mr. Maples is a charter member of the Bankruptcy Section of the Alabama Bar Association, 2011 Chairman of the Bankruptcy section, a member of the Mobile and Baldwin County Bar Associations and of the American Bar Assocation. Admissions to practice include all state and federal courts in Alabama, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals and pro hac vice admissions in Florida, Mississippi, New York, Delaware, Indiana, California and Washington.
