About Raana Burney

Being an immigrant herself, Raana Burney understands the hopes, dreams, and fears of her clients who are seeking to start lives in the United States. As the daughter of a diplomat, Raana spent much of her early life in both Pakistan and Australia. After immigrating to the U.S., Raana attended St. John’s University in New York. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with highest honors and a Masters degree in business. Then later she went on to attend Stetson University College of Law in Florida, from which she graduated in 2012 with a Juris Doctor degree and Certificate of Concentration in International Law.

Prior to attending law school, Raana worked in high-level finance positions with Fortune 500 companies in both Florida and New York. Her experience provides her with a unique perspective of the business needs of employers and the challenges they face every day. Furthermore, because of her solid finance and legal background, she is able to better assess the viability of her client’s cases.

Raana’s experience includes assisting employers with sponsoring their employees for permanent residence and/or temporary work visas such as H1-B, L-1, O and R-1, and labor certifications. She also assists individuals who are seeking immigration based on investment in the United States. Some are those seeking immigration based on their extraordinary abilities in science, arts, athletics, or business. Raana works closely with clients to develop effective strategies for business immigration, She ensures the businesses comply with applicable rules and regulations as required by immigration laws, the Department of Labor, and USCIS.

Raana Burney was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2013. She is a member of the Florida Bar, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
