Since the founding of his current private practice in 2003, Phillip H. Trueba has successfully represented numerous clients throughout Houston and surrounding areas in consumer bankruptcy law. With a passion for helping people resolve their financial troubles and regain stability, Phillip provides comprehensive bankruptcy services with a highly personal touch and attention to details. Education & Previous Experience
Attorney Trueba received his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 1998. While still in law school, he passed the bar exam and began to practice bankruptcy law shortly after graduation. In the early years of Attorney Trueba’s practice, he worked as lead court counsel for the bankruptcy department of one of Houston’s most prolific bankruptcy firms.

Thereafter, he worked for and was mentored by one of the preeminent legal minds in the field of corporate bankruptcy. During this time, he gained valuable corporate bankruptcy experience, which supplemented what he already learned in consumer bankruptcy practice. Attorney Trueba was admitted to practice law before the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, and successfully briefed arguments to the Supreme Court of Texas.
