About Peter Karlzen

Peter is a Certified Workers’ Compensation Specialist through the California Bar Association, is a member of the State Bar Workers’ section, as well as a certified Workers’ Compensation Arbitrator with the State of California. Having focused most of his 23-year legal career in the defense of all types of workers’ compensation cases, he prides himself on having a one on one relationship with his clients. As being part of an in-house counsel for a large corporation, he has extensive experience in Health Care Organization and defending the use of them in court. It is not enough for him to focus on the defense of his clients, he meets his clients, encourages them to show him firsthand what they do for a living so he can truly step into their shoes when defending their interests. He has an impressive catalog of significant and trial verdicts and is renowned for his ability to reach settlements in cases that others never concluded. Rather than shy away from complex, high stakes issues, Peter takes ownership and succeeds in concluding it. When not defending a client, he lectures and gives training to adjusters, other attorneys, corporate officers, and risk managers on his unique perspective on handling difficult claims.
