Paul Slager
About Paul Slager
Paul’s cases stem from catastrophic events involving medical malpractice, sexual abuse, violent crimes, interstate trucking, defective consumer products and serious accidents. He accepts cases only after first carefully investigating the merits and only when he believes cases are required to balance important injustices, improve public safety or otherwise make a positive impact in the community.
Consistent with his interest in handling complex cases, Paul also has represented businesses and individuals on a contingency fee basis in significant and complex business disputes. He also represents people in whistleblower actions, where citizens become aware of illegal or unethical conduct that defrauds the government. In those cases, private citizens can recover significant rewards for confidentially informing the government of a fraud through court or agency filings. Paul’s experience as a tested trial lawyer with significant courtroom experience shapes his approach to these cases. He has pursued cases for clients under the federal False Claims Act (sometimes referred to as “qui tam” cases), the SEC whistleblower program (where a private citizen becomes aware of possible securities law violations) and the IRS Whistleblower Law (where a private citizen becomes aware of a significant tax fraud).
