About Michelle Laiss

The Law offices of Michelle A. Laiss and Associates was founded by its principal, Michelle A. Laiss in 1995. Michelle was a trial attorney before starting her own firm, and is licensed in Illinois and Michigan. Michelle grew up in the Chicago area and was encouraged to enter the field of law by a High School classmate’s father, who was a Cook County Judge at the time. She was told that her energy, her quick mind and communication skills would be an ideal fit for the profession. Michelle earned her BA from Elmhurst College and then her JD from John Marshall Law School, both while working full time as a waitress to fund her education.

Michelle lives in Arizona with her two daughters and two dogs. In her free time, Michelle enjoys running, spin classes and even manages to keep up with book club reading. She has also never met a dog she did not like and is a huge supporter of animal rights and rescue organizations. Nicknamed, “the Energizer Bunny” by some, Michelle, is a genuine and highly capable professional, possessing excellent communication and organizational skills with exceptional energy. She is a true and loyal advocate for her clients.
