About Michael Classens
Mr. Classens earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Georgia Southern College in 1978 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Tennessee in 1984. He began work with the firm of Allen, Brown, Wright and Edenfield in 1984, and after admission to the bar has been a partner in the firms of Allen and Classens; Edenfield, Cox, and Classens; and, from 1996-2017, Edenfield, Cox, Bruce and Classens.
The National Trial Lawyers have named Mr. Classens as one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Georgia in each year from 2012-2018 and the American Society of Legal Advocates has certified him as in the Top 100 Family Lawyers in Georgia, from 2013-2017. The American Institute of Family Law Attorneys has recognized Mr. Classens as one of the 10 Best Family Lawyers for client satisfaction in Georgia, and The American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys has named his as among the 10 Best Criminal Law Attorneys in Georgia, for exceptional and outstanding client service.
In more than three decades of service, Mr. Classens has been privileged to represent citizens in virtually every category of civil and criminal practice, including personal injury, real estate, wills and probate, business and commercial litigation, divorce and custody cases, and criminal defense. He has conducted trials of cases in courts throughout the state of Georgia, including bench and jury trials in both State and Federal venues.
