About Mary Leonhardt

Ms. Moore Leonhardt is the founding member and owner of Moore Leonhardt & Associates and has been practicing law for more than 35 years. Since starting the firm, she has served a diverse group of clients as general counsel, regulatory counsel, and litigation counsel.

Her practice has extended to licensed healthcare providers and organizations across the integrated delivery system; insurance companies; medical transportation companies (ambulance, livery, and taxicab), and non-profit organizations (governance, operational, corporate compliance, board of directors fiduciary duties and relationships, freedom of information act responses and responses to subpoenas, business and organizational development, newsletters, seminar presentations, advocacy for legislation or in opposition to legislation), employers and individuals in employment relationship matters (contracting, discipline, separation and termination).

This work also involves assisting clients in resolving provider-insurance company disputes regarding reimbursement, credentialing, and contracting. She works directly with lobbyists on legislative and regulatory matters, often meeting with members of the executive and legislative branches of the state government and, occasionally with members of the U.S. Congressional delegation. Ms. Moore Leonhardt has been actively involved in anti-trust issues involving healthcare providers and she has met frequently with state and federal agency officials including the Attorney General and his staff, and Department of Justice officials in Connecticut and Washington, D.C., on anti-trust and Medicare fraud matters.

She served as general counsel to Campion Ambulance Service, Inc. for more than 30 years, and is general counsel to the Connecticut Chiropractic Association, Inc., several healthcare organizations, home care agencies, urgent care centers, medical group practices, taxicab companies, small businesses and several volunteer ambulance associations. In addition, she has counseled several non-profit associations and organizations in all aspects of their organizational and service needs.
