About Mary Jane Nettles

MARY JANE NETTLES, (formerly known as Mary Jane Henderson), has been a lawyer in Volusia County since early 1981. For the first 10 years of life as an attorney here, she worked with her husband, Clay Henderson, in their 2-person firm, handling primarily family law matters and criminal cases. During that time, Mary Jane was active in legal circles, and served as President of the Volusia County Bar Association, President of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, and attorney for the Guardian ad Litem program. She served as a board member on a variety of organizations including the Seventh Judicial Circuit Judicial Nominating Committee and the board of Central Florida Legal Services Corporation. From 1991 to 2011, she served as a Volusia County Court Judge. Since 2011, Mary Jane has been a solo practitioner and has handled a large variety of matters from Family Law and Criminal Defense cases, to Wills/Trusts and probate litigation, Personal Injury and Auto Accident claims, and general civil litigation.
