About Mark Silber
Mr. Silber is an experienced lawyer in practice since 1973. He won his first notable published case, Pavesi vs. Ford, in 1977. This established the right of consumers to receive a refund for the purchase of a lemon or defective automobile. As the first case of its kind, it served to chide Congress and the states to enact new warranty and lemon laws.
In the years following, Mr. Silber continued to advance consumer rights, both in court and through lobbying efforts in Trenton. He became a keynote speaker, giving seminars and presentations to various consumer groups around the country. The Center for Auto Safety invited him to participate in seminars and conventions. Not long after, he was nominated and won a term to the Board of Directors of Consumers Union®, publisher of Consumer Reports®.
Today, Mr. Silber speaks and presents seminars to other professionals on warranties, lemon law and consumer fraud. Recently, he expanded his practice to include bankruptcy, commercial, labor and construction law, and federal issues such as copyright law for startups, federal administrative law involving 401(k), and tax disputes with the government.
Working as a lawyer exposes one to the most interesting people and most diverse issues in the world. Indeed, it’s a blessing and a rare privilege to practice law. Someone once said, “There’s not a subject ever discussed at a party a lawyer can’t add his two cents to.”
