Hebron Law Firm PLLC
About Lucy Hebron
I am Lucy Hebron, and I am the attorney who will be working with you personally to advise and guide you in this difficult time. I do not hand my cases off to associates or paralegals, thus ensuring that you receive experienced, professional, and compassionate service throughout the legal process.
All my life I wanted to be a lawyer. I never seriously considered anything else. Part of my motivation is that I’m a “fixer” (I can help fix your money problems!) and I enjoy solving a good puzzle, especially legal problems.
I come from a working-class background: my dad is a retired, career Air Force navigator of C-130 military transport planes and my mom is a naturalized American citizen by way of Riga, Latvia. All of my mother’s side of the family faced severe financial and personal hardships in post-World War II Europe (she received aid packages dropped from planes during the “Berlin Airlift”). She, like many others, lost all of her possessions not just once, but several times.
I worked my way through college and law school and after law school and passing the bar in 1988, I joined the bankruptcy section of a large Houston law firm where I had the privilege of working with and working for both individuals and large corporations (“debtor work” as it is called by attorneys). My experiences there together with my mother’s family’s struggles have influenced my view on financial hardships. As a result, I am especially sympathetic to those with financial problems. I do all I can to make it easy on individuals or families facing bankruptcy or other legal issues.
Over the years, I have represented individual clients from all walks of life as well as corporate clients (oil & gas, airlines, retail merchants, shipping lines, etc.), which has always kept my work interesting and varied. No two clients are alike: each case is different and, therefore, no two cases are alike. What worked for a friend or a neighbor in their situation may not work for you in your current situation.
I work with you to help solve your legal problem in a manner that works for you and your family. If your problem is finances and you end up needing to file bankruptcy (chapter 7), I am with you the whole way from start to finish.
