About Lori Flohaug

Lori Flohaug has aggressively and compassionately represented the legal interests of individuals and families in all aspects of the law throughout Minnesota for nearly 20 years. Lori earned her law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in Saint Paul, Minnesota in 1999 and a bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wisconsin in 1995. Lori is an alumni of Greenway High School in Coleraine, Minnesota.

During law school, Lori interned with Federal Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit Judge, Gerald Heaney and Minnesota District Court Judge, Lois Lang. During her summers, Lori worked as a student attorney with Legal Aid Services of Northeastern Minnesota in Grand Rapids.

After graduation, Lori accepted a position as an Assistant State Public Defender and as an Associate Attorney for Undem Law Office in Grand Rapids. In 2003, Lori accepted a position as an Assistant County Attorney for the Itasca County Attorney’s Office.

Lori opened her own solo practice, Flohaug Law Firm, PLLC in November 2011 and continues to successfully practice law. In July 2017, Lori accepted a part-time judgeship with the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe and serves as a Tribal Deputy Judge.

Lori is a member of the American Bar Association, the Minnesota Bar Association, the Itasca County Bar Association (past president and past secretary/treasurer), the Minnesota Native American Bar Association and Minnesota Women Lawyers.

When not practicing law, Lori enjoys traveling, photography, camping and scrapbooking. Lori enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, canoeing, jet skiing, is a certified scuba diver and loves just floating and listening to the loons.
