About Les Roos

Les Roos, since establishing his private practice, has focused his expertise on commercial real estate and business law. Throughout his career, he has held partnership positions in prominent law firms, including one in Washington, D.C. and another in Denver, which was among the city’s largest. He also played a key role as a founding member of a specialized firm in Denver. Les’s professional achievements have garnered recognition, as he was selected as one of Colorado’s esteemed “Super Lawyers” by Law & Politics and 5280 Denver’s Magazine.

With over four decades of legal experience, Les has been involved in virtually every aspect of commercial and residential real estate. While he primarily represents small entrepreneurial real estate entities, he has also provided legal counsel to numerous institutional lenders and real estate companies. Notably, he acted as the lead attorney for two major redevelopment projects in Aspen, Colorado, overseeing their entirety from start to finish. These projects included a mixed-use residential/retail condominium venture and a residential condominium/hotel project, both valued at over $100 million.

Les has successfully represented both sellers and buyers in transactions involving vacant and improved land sales. His extensive leasing experience covers a wide range of property types, including office buildings, retail centers, industrial complexes, and ground leases. He has also adeptly prepared various condominium and common interest ownership documents, representing both project developers and owners associations. Furthermore, Les possesses considerable expertise in negotiating construction contracts and subcontracts, as well as skillfully resolving disputes arising from these agreements.

In addition to his real estate focus, Les has negotiated and drafted loan documents for secured and unsecured lending transactions, catering to both lenders and borrowers. This includes handling workouts for distressed properties and foreclosures. His comprehensive practice encompasses all aspects of limited liability company, partnership, and corporate law. He assists clients in formation matters and offers guidance in disputes and dissolutions. Les has also facilitated numerous business sale transactions, representing both buyers and sellers.

Les Roos is a distinguished alumnus of the College of William & Mary School of Law, where he graduated and served as a Law Review Editor. Beyond his legal achievements, he has actively contributed to his community and various charitable organizations in leadership positions. Before pursuing a career in law, Mr. Roos had a successful stint as a professional baseball player, earning induction into the Temple University Athletic Hall of Fame.
