About Kimberly Oberrecht

KIMBERLY S. OBERRECHT is from the Pacific Northwest having grown up in Tacoma, Washington. She graduated from the University of Washington in 1994 with a B.A. in Business Administration. She received her law degree in 1997 from California Western School of Law and was admitted to the California Bar in 1997. Kim is an Advocate in the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), listed as a Super Lawyer from 2013 to present, and is a member of DRI, Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM), NRRDA, San Diego Defense Lawyers, Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, and the San Diego County Bar Association. In 2017, Kim was honored as Trial Lawyer of the Year by San Diego Defense Lawyers.

Kim’s practice is focused solely on insurance defense, which includes auto liability, trucking, commercial premises liability, construction site accidents, landlord premises liability, and personal injury defense. She has completed over 50 jury trials, successfully defending auto, trucking, products liability and premises liability cases with catastrophic injuries and wrongful death.

Kim resides in Bird Rock with her two very active boys. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her boys, traveling, the beach, and being outdoors.
