About Kevin Callahan

Kevin graduated from SPRINGFIELD PUBLIC SCHOOLS and completed his bachelor degrees in Springfield at EVANGEL COLLEGE (University). He earned his juris doctorate at REGENT UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW in Virginia, which is recognized as a leader in the areas of nonprofit law and taxation. Between Evangel and Regent, Kevin studied at Queens’ College, Cambridge University under a scholarship from the C.S. Lewis Foundation.

As an adjunct PROFESSOR at his alma mater, Kevin teaches Nonprofit Law and The Legal Environment of Business. He is the author or a contributing author to several editions each of Colorado Nonprofits: Business and Tax Answers, Exempt Organizations and Charitable Activities in Colorado, Understanding Your Options: Comparing LLCs & LLPs in Colorado, and Family Limited Partnerships in Colorado published by National Business Institute. Kevin also frequently TEACHES classes to other lawyers and accountants about nonprofit organizations and the use of family partnerships in estate planning.

Kevin is licensed to practice in MISSOURI and Colorado, the United States SUPREME COURT, the United States BANKRUPTCY Courts for the District of Western Missouri and the District of Colorado, the United States TAX Court, Federal Courts in Missouri and Colorado, and before the Internal Revenue Service.

Born in St. Louis, Kevin is married to the lovely Yvonne who was born in Newport Beach, California and raised near Santa Fe, New Mexico and is a Nuero-trauma ICU Nurse at Mercy Hospital. They have three smart, creative and beautiful DAUGHTERS with whom much time is spent debating the use of the Oxford comma. His family is active in ALL SAINTS ANGLICAN CHURCH, soccer, theater, MUSIC and are supporters of the Colorado Rapids, U.S. Soccer, MANCHESTER UNITED, and the St. Louis Cardinals.
