Karolina A. Dowd is a partner at Walsh Woodard LLC in West Hartford. She has practiced with the firm since graduating from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2002. Ms. Dowd received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Georgetown University, Cum Laude in 1999. Her practice is dedicated to representing clients injured due to the negligence of others.
Ms. Dowd routinely handles medical malpractice, automobile negligence, premises liability, and product liability matters. In 2013, Ms. Dowd was named in the Connecticut Magazine Super Lawyers publication as a Rising Star. Since 2019, she has been selected by her peers as a Connecticut Super Lawyer. Ms. Dowd is an active member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. Elected to CTLA’s Board of Governors, she is the co-chair of the Bylaws and Communications Committees and is a member of the General Torts Committee. Ms. Dowd is also a member and past chair of CTLA’s Women’s Caucus. She has lectured to other Connecticut lawyers on topics including premises liability matters as well as litigation tactics and strategies.
Additionally, Ms. Dowd is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Connecticut Bar Association, and the Hartford County Bar Association. She has worked on pro bono matters for the Connecticut Child Justice Foundation and Own the Dream CT.
Ms. Dowd was born in Zabrze, Poland and speaks fluent Polish. She has represented many Polish clients in personal injury and malpractice matters.
