About Karen Myatt

Karen A. Myatt is the Founder and Managing Attorney of Seaglass Law & Mediation. She holds a BGS degree in Behavioral Science with a minor in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire and attained a JD from the University of Miami School of Law. Karen’s professional journey as a lawyer started with a stint as a Reporter and Producer for Court TV, where she made appearances on Dateline NBC.

In 2000, Karen transitioned to practicing Family Law, merging her passions for behavioral science and law. In 2001 she opened her first practice, Myatt Law Center, LLC. in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Later in 2021, after returning to her native Massachusetts, she recognized the need for a more therapeutic approach to divorce and opened Seaglass Law & Mediation in Gloucester, MA.

Karen’s approach to Family Law encourages clients to view divorce as a transition rather than an ending. She has built a broad network of professionals, connecting clients with therapists, financial experts, educators, and more to navigate the challenges of divorce and their transitions successfully.

Committed to community service, Karen serves on the board for Strongwater Farm Therapeutic Center in Tewksbury, MA, and the Mahoney Family Fund based in Lowell, MA. Strongwater Farm Therapeutic Center is a program that serves disabled clients, including children with autism and veterans suffering from PTSD, through meaningful connections with horses. The Mahoney Family Fund supports organizations combating domestic violence and abuse across the United States.

Karen enjoys photography, horseback riding, and the arts.
