About Justin Bowen
Justin Bowen is a sophisticated transactional tax attorney and is an expert in U.S. federal income tax planning for the full spectrum of business and investment transactions, in both the domestic and cross-border contexts.
Because of his broad transactional experience, Justin is able to serve as an integral part of a transactional team, bringing to bear not only his technical expertise, but also his judgment and the experience gained serving as tax counsel on hundreds of transactions.
Prior to launching the firm, Justin practiced in the Business Tax group at O’Melveny & Myers LLP, the oldest law firm in Los Angeles and one of the largest and most respected law firms in the world. Justin was voted a “Rising Star” in 2014, 2015 and 2016 and a “Super Lawyer” in 2019 and 2020 by Southern California Super Lawyers, has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law in the Tax LL.M. Program at Loyola Law School, and frequently speaks on tax matters.
Justin Bowen received his J.D. from Loyola Law School, where he graduated in the top 5% of his class, cum laude and Order of the Coif. He also received his LL.M. in Taxation from Loyola Law School with High Distinction. Justin received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from USC’s Marshall School of Business.
Justin is a lifelong surfer and avid traveler, and enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons.
