About Joyce Williams

Joyce Williams is the founder of Armooh-Williams, PLLC. She is also the founder of Hazina Equity Partners, a private equity firm transforming investment from a functional focus to innovation for business and risk-adjusted returns; Isoka, LLC, a grassroots soccer organization opening doors and managing emerging talents and Armooh-Williams Foundation, a 501(C)(3) organization creating legacies through economic empowerment.

Joyce serves on the Board of the American Bar Association’s African Law Council on Rule of Law Initiatives, the International Bar Foundation Rule of Law Initiative, the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Policy Network, The Doña Gracia Center for Diplomacy, United Community, and Asankrangwa Kroye Kuo.

Joyce has been recognized by the American Bar Association for her work in human trafficking advocacy and supply chain security, improving diversity and inclusion in the legal profession. Joyce’s pro bono activities include WE-Lab, an initiative of the Armooh-Williams Foundation to create a platform for women entrepreneurs to access training and counsel to grow their businesses. An immigration clinic for Asylees, Refugees, and new arrivals to the United States through Hispano Progreso.

Joyce’s speaking and writing engagements have enlightened audiences on various trending legal topics, such as regional integration, global migration, sports and development, blockchain, international sales, international project development, and finance and mentorship in the legal profession. She has published papers and is often sought to speak at major international conferences on the rule of law issues and various topics touching on international development.

Her previous employers have included the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) in Incheon, South Korea, The Kozolchyk National Law Center in Tucson, Arizona, and SILLAC Consulting; Annapolis, Maryland; and International Law Institute, Washington D.C. She serves a diverse clientele, including heads of state, diplomats, royals, and high-level business executives.

Joyce was previously an executive board member of the African Union Mission’s Diaspora Committee, the Institute for African Women in Law, and Bakashana. She was a Social Ambassador for Youth Advocacy of Ghana and a Special Advisor to the President of the African Bar Association.
