About Joseph Williams

A skilled litigator who also is well-versed in alternative dispute resolution and certified in collaborative divorce, Pittsburgh family lawyer Joseph R. Williams puts clients in the driver’s seat and helps them navigate a wide range of family law concerns to reach their goals. Joe thrives on the challenges of each unique client situation in a diverse, comprehensive family law practice including divorce and equitable distribution cases, custody and visitation, protection from abuse and support.

His legal prowess is evident in and out of the courtroom. With collaborative divorce training and certification from the Collaborative Law Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania, he is well poised to negotiate a case to an amicable settlement. However, Joe also is a respected litigator, recognized by his peers for his courtroom successes throughout western Pennsylvania up to the Pennsylvania Superior Court.

Joe has proven himself a natural leader and an energetic force on the Pittsburgh legal scene. After serving in several leadership roles within the Allegheny County Bar Association, Joe became its president on July 1, 2021, fostering a culture of ethics and professionalism among ACBA’s 6,000 members and championing equality and diversity in the legal community.
