About Joseph Stewart

Joseph D. Stewartwas born July 2, 1954 in Portsmouth, Virginia into a Navy family. Joe attended University of Virginia and graduated in 1976 with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Political Science. Joe served our country for 6 years as a surface warfare officer in communications, operations and weapons. While serving our country, he graduated summa cum laude, from St. Leo College with a B.A. in Accounting. While attending University of Virginia, Joe met his sweetheart wife and moved to St. Petersburg where he graduated as Valedictorian from Stetson University Law School in 2 ½ years, obtained his CPA certificate and represented Stetson in a National Trial Competition. Joe was fortunate to meet Frederick Hardt, who hired and then partnered with Joe. He continued practicing with Hardt & Stewart specializing in civil litigation for 13 years – when he founded Joseph D. Stewart, P.A.
