About Jen Raimo
Jen Raimo has loved criminal justice ever since she read her first Nancy Drew book. She graduated from West Chester University in 1996 with a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice and a minor in Spanish. After two years working as a corrections officer, she enrolled in law school at George Mason University. It was during law school when Jen was first introduced to family law by working for a practicing attorney and helping to prepare cases for trial. Jen graduated law school in 2001 with a Juris Doctorate degree.
Since then, she has dedicated her career and much of her personal life to helping people in their time of need. Her court experience includes a wide variety of misdemeanors and felonies in General District Courts, Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts, and Circuit Courts throughout Northern Virginia. She has also helped people restore their driver’s license after it has been suspended indefinitely and expunge charges from their criminal records. In family law, Jennifer has defended parents facing termination of their parental rights, helped parents seek custody, visitation, and support for their children, and represented parents who have fallen behind on their child support payments.
In 2012, Jen established the Law Office of Jennifer Raimo, PLLC. She believes all of her clients deserve an honest lawyer who will explain every step of their case as the matter proceeds no matter how simple or complicated an issue may be. Jen believes so strongly in helping the underdog, she has spent a significant amount of time during the COVID-19 pandemic working to gain certification so she can begin representing the interests of children who are caught in the middle of their parents’ battles in juvenile and domestic relations court. She will also begin teaching a paralegal course in February 2020 with the hope of inspiring future workers in the legal system to approach their jobs with the same commitment to service Jen brings to the courtroom.
When she’s not practicing law, Jen can usually be found at a local Catholic church either praying (often for her clients’ intentions), doing community service, or participating in some other type of parish ministry. Jen’s experience working with inmates on a daily basis and her unshakable faith are the “secret” behind Jen’s patience and stamina as she walks with her clients through the judicial system.
