About Jeffrey Roeser
Randy Roeser joined haltom & doan after graduating from the University of Houston Law Center where he graduated magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, Order of the Barons and Order of the Barristers. Throughout his time at UHLC, Randy was a moot court member and won the Giles Rich Moot Court South Regional Competition in 2014 and 2015.
Since joining haltom & doan, Randy has handled numerous cases and has been critically involved in all aspects of successfully defending his clients—from drafting discovery to acting as co-lead counsel at trial. Randy has defended over 40 lawsuits involving patent infringement, including assisting in successfully invalidating several patents. Most recently, in August 2018, the Federal Circuit affirmed Judge Robert Schroeder, III’s invalidation of the patent-in-suit pursuant to defendants’ motion to dismiss—a motion in which Randy was largely involved. See Uniloc USA, Inc. v. Amazon.com, Inc., Case No. 2017-2051 (Fed. Cir. Aug. 6, 2018).
Randy is licensed to practice in all Texas and Arkansas state courts, the Texas Supreme Court, Arkansas Supreme Court, the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Texas, Western District of Texas, Northern District of Texas, Southern District of Texas, Eastern District of Arkansas and Western District of Arkansas. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Harrison County (Texas) Bar Association, Texarkana Bar Association, 2017-2019 president of the Texarkana Young Lawyers Association, Intellectual Property Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, and the American Indian Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.
Randy graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Biochemistry and received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Houston Law Center.
