Jay L. Taylor, Shareholder at Anderson Kill, currently practices in the area of structured and corporate finance, Reg D exempt securities offerings, corporate formation and governance, tech start-ups, complex deal structuring, and entertainment law His expertise includes corporate legal risk management; reducing financial risk across complex transactions. He has over 27 years of experience drafting and negotiating a variety of complex documentation (including synthetic access to a variety of asset classes (derivatives)), project finance documentation, corporate deals, securities deals and global financial trading.
Mr. Taylor has represented a global client base, including some of the largest energy companies, funds, banks and corporate entities. He has significant knowledge of financial matters and funding strategies. He understands the framework for synthetically hedging and implementing strategies to protect against virtually any business and financial risk. He also focuses on organizational and funding strategies for a variety of entities, from hedge funds to start-up companies and ICOs.
He has worked for foreign and domestic investment banks such as Barclays Capital, Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas and Bear Stearns and, alternatively, has represented some of the world’s largest corporate entities, energy and commodity companies, hedge funds and other entities as lead counsel to highly structured deals at top U.S.-based law firms.
Mr. Taylor has formed, and has advised, several start-up enterprises, managed a multi-national risk management project for an international bank, led a risk assessment team for one of the world’s largest funds and served as lead commodities lawyer for a top global investment bank.
