About Janna Landreth

Janna Landreth grew up and attended high school in metro Atlanta. After graduating from the University of Georgia in 1998 with a BA in Anthropology, magna cum laude, Janna attended the University of Georgia School of Law. Janna completed her legal education in 2001, receiving her J.D., cum laude, in 2001. Janna was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2001. She is also admitted to practice in the Georgia Court of Appeals and Georgia Supreme Court.
Having met her future husband, Ryan, while a student at the University of Georgia, the couple decided to make Athens home.

Following a marriage 10 days after the bar exam, Janna accepted a position as Staff Attorney for the Superior Court Judges of the Western Judicial Circuit. In 2003, Janna was hired as a prosecuting attorney in the Athens-Clarke County Solicitor-General’s Office. Janna quickly learned that her specialty was working closely with individuals in the community and handling a high volume of fast-paced cases. Janna prosecuted a wide variety of misdemeanor cases but specialized in Traffic Law, single-handedly prosecuting every misdemeanor offense and many local ordinances in Athens-Clarke County Municipal Court; a Court previously covered by multiple prosecuting attorneys.
In 2006, Janna took a two-and-a-half-year leave of absence from the Solicitor’s Office, staying home with her now 16-year-old twins. Janna returned to the Solicitor-General’s Office in 2009, where she served as the Municipal Court Prosecutor until 2022.

After serving as a Prosecuting Attorney in the Athens-Clarke
County Solicitor’s Office for over 16 years, Janna is excited to bring her legal knowledge and experience to the challenging and emotional world of family law, while still accepting cases in misdemeanor criminal defense, where the roots of her legal career lie.
