About James O’Keefe

James O’Keefe has more than 30 years of experience in all areas of immigration law, especially with employment-based corporate matters. He also regularly lectures and writes about immigration issues for a number of national publications.

Some of James’ writings are published by the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), of which he is an active member. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maine School of Law where he teaches about his area of expertise.

James enjoys competitive snowboarding, mountain biking, running marathons, and racing road bikes internationally. He is also a DJ with at a weekly program on WMPG, Maine’s community radio station at USM (University of Southern Maine).

Aside from lending a helping hand through his legal practice, James also helps many individuals through his other work. He is a volunteer firefighter and EMT (emergency medical technician) in Yarmouth, Maine.
