About James Mass

James is a graduate from Concordia University with a B.A. in Psychology as well as a graduate from the University of Ottawa with an L.L.L in Civil Law.

James also holds a Masters Degree (L.L.M.) in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Osgoode Hall at York University.

James has been a lawyer in good standing with the Barreau du Quebec since his Call in 2006.

James also serves as the onsite court connected Family Mediator in both Cornwall and Ottawa Ontario.

Mediation
Within the process of family mediation parties can discuss and settle any aspects which are accessory to their divorce or separation including child custody, support for spouse and/or child(ren), division of family property.
I believe that families should only turn to the judicial system as a last resort when resolving their family related disputes.

In conjunction with traditional family law practice including divorce representation, joint divorce proceedings, and child representation, I offer bilingual family mediation services for couples and families with or without minor children.
Couples with minor or dependent children may be eligible for government subsidized mediation sessions.
