For over 40 years, James R. Elder has been practicing law in Tulsa, Oklahoma, focusing his practice on Family, Corporate, and Business Law.
He graduated from the Oklahoma Military Academy in 1967, received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Northeastern State College in 1969, and received his Juris Doctorate degree from Tulsa University College of Law in 1971.
Elder was admitted to practice law in Oklahoma in 1972, the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Oklahoma, in 1973, the U.S. Court of Appeals in 1975, and the U.S. Supreme Court in 1977.
He has also served as a past chairman of the Tulsa County Bar Association’s Domestic Relations Section, and was a contributing editor to the Oklahoma Trial Lawyer Journal. James Elder focuses on the issues presented by his clients, and is committed to providing the best possible results on each client’s case. His practice is dedicated protecting the client’s personal assets and the relationship with the children.
Mr. Elder joined forces with Robert G ‘Hap’ Fry in 1991, and the Oklahoma family law firm of Fry & Elder was established. The firms brings over 120 years of combined experience together to ensure the preparation and presentation of each clients case is done in the most efficient and cost effective manner.
