About Ilene Ferenczy

A national thought leader in the area of Employee Benefits, Ilene Ferenczy is the managing partner of the Atlanta law firm, Ferenczy Benefits Law Center.  Ms. Ferenczy went to law school after ten years of  being an administrator of employee benefit plans and that experience provides her with a uniquely knowledgeable perspective in her legal practice.  Her firm practices exclusively in the ERISA area, and she works primarily with qualified retirement plans (such as 401(k) plans and defined benefit and cash balance plans) to help keep plans in compliance with the complex laws that govern them.  Her clientele also includes a significant number of companies that provide services to retirement plans, such as third party administrators and financial advisors.

Ms. Ferenczy is a frequent speaker on retirement plan topics and has written or edited 8 books, 4 of which are currently in print.  Her firm is well known for practical answers to complex questions (their tagline is “We are your ERISA solution!”), particularly in relation to correcting retirement plan noncompliance issues.
