About Heather McAllister

Heather C. McAllister is a native of Georgia; however, she spent much of her childhood living in various states from Georgia and South Carolina to Massachusetts and West Virginia. Heather is a graduate of High Distinction from the University of Michigan. There she was also awarded with Class Honors and is a member of Golden Key National Honor Society. Heather attended law school in Athens, Georgia at the University of Georgia, School of Law. During this time, she interned with both the British House of Commons in London, England and with the United States Trade Representative in Washington, D.C. After law school, Heather relocated to Cleveland, Ohio where she worked as a prosecutor in Cuyahoga County’s Child Support Enforcement Unit. There she located absentee parents, established paternity, child support orders and managed the enforcement of those orders.

Today, Heather is an active member of the Terrebonne Parish community having participated in Leadership Terrebonne Class of 2010; she has served as a representative to the House of Delegates of the Louisiana State Bar Association. She has served as a board member to the South Louisiana Legal Services Board, and she was the team leader for Rotary International’s District 6200 Group Study Exchange to France. Heather is also an active member of The Louisiana State Bar, an inactive member of the Ohio State Bar and an inactive member of the Georgia State Bar. She also maintains memberships with the Terrebonne Bar Association and the Lafourche Bar Association.
