About George Higgs

George is a partner with Stone, Higgs & Drexler, with concentration in collections of retail and commercial accounts and preserving creditors’ rights in bankruptcy. He is a member of:

Mr. Higgs has spoken on topics such as FDCPA, consumer bankruptcy issues, and regularly lectures on collection and bankruptcy matters, including having spoken at the annual convention of the General Sessions Judges on the field of collections in Tennessee.

He received his BA from Southwestern at Memphis (now, Rhodes College) and Juris Doctor from Memphis State University (University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law), as well as completing the Institute on Comparative and International Law at Oxford University, England.

His interests include fitness sports, where he completed Florida Ford Ironman, Ultra Distance Running and more than 40 marathons.
