Don Johnson handles complex family law matters, as well as some general civil and criminal litigation.
A former Sergeant with the U.S. Marine Corps, Don excels in the courtroom with his superb trial and
cross examination skills. Prior to joining the firm, Don served as a Deputy District Attorney and Chief
Deputy District Attorney for the Larimer County District Attorney’s Office, prosecuting major felonies.
Don also served as an Assistant Municipal Judge in Loveland Colorado from 1972 to 1973. Don has
taught Business Law courses at Aims Community College, authored articles for the Colorado District
Attorney’s Evidence Manual, and lectured at the Regional Homicide School in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Don was listed in “Who’s Who in American Law” from 1985-1986 and from 2002-2003 and in “Who’s Who in America” from 2005-2007. Finally, Don was named a Super Lawyer in Colorado in
2006 and received the Larimer County Bar Association Professionalism Award in 2008. Don maintains an AV Preeminent 5.0 out of 5 Peer Review Rated Status with Martindale-Hubbell which is the highest rating awarded to attorneys for professional competence and ethics.
