About Debra Whitson
Debra Whitson’s career has been divided into two halves: in the first, she worked as a prosecutor, while in the latter half, she specialized in Matrimonial and Family Law. She is an experienced mediator, a collaborative divorce practitioner, and a recognized authority in working with domestic violence victims.
Debra Whitson firmly believes that legal disputes harm families more than they help, and she is passionate about empowering people to make decisions for their families rather than leaving such outcomes to strangers in black robes. When court intervention is necessary, Debra strives to educate and support individuals, making the legal process less expensive, intimidating, uncertain, and stressful. In her free time, Debra Whitson works with Zonta International to enhance the lives of women and girls in her community and worldwide. She enjoys traveling, relishing good food and wine, playing tennis, and spending time with her husband and children while engaging in outdoor activities in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State, which they call home.
