About David Safvati

Mr. Safvati joined Neufeld Marks in September 2019 and represents clients in general civil litigation, including business/commercial litigation, and real estate litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Safvati obtained extensive civil litigation experience at an established defense firm where he provided legal services in a variety of areas, including construction litigation, business litigation, product liability, and general tort claims.

After graduating from law school, Mr. Safvati was selected as an American Board of Trial Advocates Fellow (ABOTA), where he completed a fellowship with the Honorable Samantha P. Jessner, the presiding Judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court, and with prominent litigation firms, Rosen Saba LLP, and BD&J, PC.

Mr. Safvati served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Robert N. Kwan of the United States Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California during law school. In this role, he drafted objective legal memoranda where he recommended rulings to the Judge, reviewed motions, and researched case law. Prior to that, Mr. Safvati served the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office as a Law Clerk.

Mr. Safvati received his Juris Doctor degree, from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. He received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Southern California. During law school, he honed his litigation skills outside the classroom by participating in the Scott Moot Court Competition, and the Jeffery G. Miller National Environmental Moot Court Competition where his team earned Best Business Brief and finished as quarter-finalists. He also honed his litigation skills inside the classroom by completing litigation-focused courses such as appellate advocacy, civil litigation skills practicum, and legal drafting. Mr. Safvati served as the vice president of the Jewish Law Students Association at Loyola Law School.
